///Human
We are crazy little beings. What gave us the urge to spread out, conquer and exploit long ago? Power...Greed... Its very interesting looking at the timeline of our species. Learning how we used to function and comparing it to the present way. I feel like we were never satisfied, always trying to find the next best thing. Sort of like obsessive dogs unaware of the damage the chocolate will cause. For the few groups of humans that were aware of this thirst, learned how to control them selves and became satisfied with a sustainable simple life...well we killed them off. Now, our water, air and food have become polluted. Now we are unknowingly killing our selves, slowly.

////Life
My days seem really short lately. I guess I should have known freeing up work schedule would mean I would fill in that empty space with film projects. I have been apart of numerous acting projects. "the couple in the cage" "Spit Show Series" many "mark and dan films". On top of that I have been managing my school work. Woooh! It's been a wild ride, I guess this is the cause of my perception of a weeks length shortening to a day. Hopefully I will get some rest(I won't) this summer.
This heavy work load has paid off though. The spit show helped me get a role on a feature film called safety not guaranteed.

Finishing up TOURDEO!!!
Things have been going very well, though I am very stressed with my work load currently. I had an audition this morning for a role as "shirtless guy" in a feature film called "Safety not Guaranteed". I can't wait to hear if I got the part, because the role has me, shirtless, making out with the main character's room mate. After the audition I met up with Dan and finished up the last episode of "tourdeo" our first short film.

25 Years
Just looked at my post from last night. The part about turning 25 this June, its crazy thinking back on the past. It feels like a whole different lifetime. I remember being sad on my 17th birthday, I felt like I was being sucked forward in time exponentially. Like one of those yellow circular donation things, the penny goes around and around. Each time the penny goes around, the trip around gets shorter and shorter. I used to try to resist it, counting the days trying to make them slower. Resisting made me always focus on the bad or what I thought was bad. How things don't last. Because I was taught that it's bad to die or its a negative thing when flowers die. Now I think it makes them more beautiful and I realize they always come back. Maybe we do too? I've given up on resisting, now I am free falling and enjoying every moment I am given.
////At School......
I'm dumping some footage from the John Keister show onto the schools computer right now and waiting to have my first day of Art History III. I forgot to menttion I almost forgot to film at Rplace last night. I remembered at like 12:37 am. I was at Dans getting ready to sit down and relax, when looking at my clock triggered me to remember that I needed to film. I skated there as fast as I could. Fell, cut my hands and my ass. Got there just in time for the show, grabbed the camera and started to film the first guy and the camera dies. Someone accidently unhooked the charger bay for the camera, so I got a dead battery. They still paid me even though I told them I don't deserve money for not getting to film.
School.........Im sort of short of breath here today. I probably need to eat. I've only had a protien smoothie.

My Very First Blog
Okay. Hey. This is Mark Martin. This blog will pretty much be my diary. Documenting my thoughts for future examination of my life. I will be 25 years old this June. I currently enjoy making films with my buddy Dan Desrosier. We are releasing the last episode of "Tourdeo" (our first short film together) at April 20th's Laff Hole here in Seattle. Currently this blog is meant to help me examine my behavior, help me express myself through language better, and in the future look back and laugh at myself.
Today on this cold April 6th I ate brunch at Jup Jup Jup with Dan and Libby(Dans Lady friend) then burned the Laff Hole promo at Tony Strakas. Then I went down to the school with Dan to get him a video camera so he could film tonight's Laff Hole with John Kiester and the almost live cast. I got him setup and then I went to my COM 401 Class.
In class we received our umbrella topic: Democracy in 21st Century
Chris Dirkopp came across the Idea of democracy vs. capitalism which capture all my interests from the topic. We need three ideas by next week, so I two more ideas for next week that I like. Also we need to email our resumes on ecopannion by Monday.
